
Fundación Patrimonio Natural de Castilla y León (FPNCYL) is the regional public foundation of the Government of Castilla y León dedicated to preserving natural heritage and advancing sustainability. It operates a broad network of nature centres and the PRAE environmental hub, delivering conservation actions, environmental education, eco-tourism and green innovation.
With strong links to municipalities, farmers and water authorities, FPNCYL coordinates multi-actor initiatives and EU projects across the region.
In Life-Nitrazens, FPNCYL leads stakeholder engagement and awareness campaigns on nitrate pollution, supports the design and deployment of pilot actions and field monitoring in the Duero basin, and steers replication and policy uptake. The foundation will leverage its communication platforms and education network to maximise outreach and citizen participation. It will lead information and education campaigns (WP5). It utilizes its regional centers to organize behavioral change workshops and heads the drafting of the project’s policy recommendation guidelines (T6.5).
