The University of Burgos coordinates the LIFE-NITRAZENS project through a multidisciplinary team composed of the Polymers Research Group and the ICCRAM-EST Group. UBU brings extensive experience in managing European projects and leads the technical and administrative coordination of LIFE-NITRAZENS. UBU combines expertise in citizen science, environmental monitoring, and sustainability assessment to address nitrate pollution and its socio-economic impacts. Its activities include project coordination, environmental and socio-economic baseline assessment, and the development of awareness and communication actions.
In life- Nitrazens, as the main coordinator, UBU leads technical and financial management (WP1). It is responsible for the baseline environmental and socio-economic assessment (WP2) and performs chemical analysis of nitrates in samples collected from the Duero River basin
