The University of Coimbra (UC) is a public higher education institution founded in 1290. The mission of UC comprises three pillars: Education, Research and Knowledge Transfer. Within the LIFE-NITRAZENS project, the UC team is responsible for the replication of the project’s tools and strategies in Portugal, validating the adaptability of citizen science approaches, best management practices and awareness campaigns, and assessing their feasibility and scalability to other european contexts, leading the sustainability and replication work package (WP6). It is the primary partner responsible for validating all project tools and strategies in the Mondego River basin in Portugal
